great views but noisy at night

The amazing views from our room were amazing. Having options for breakfast in our room added a lovely touch to our stay.

The noise from the pub below was bothersome at times.

The bar had good meals. The position of the hotel was absolutely perfect, in the middle of the city.

The standard twin room was spotless with added extras as well as the comfiest bed. Location: the hotel was near to centre of Castleton, the Bulls Head in Castleton and the bar/restaurant.

It has good setting in the middle of the city.

The rooms are super comfy, and we loved the nice little touches like boot covers and a great variety of teas. There are perfect spots to unwind in the garden, making it an awesome place to relax. A minor downside is that the breakfast options are a bit limited, but the local café next door saved the day! 😊

Can't recommend highly enough for a mini-vacation

Clean room, comfortable room, with an excellent view, made our stay enjoyable and gave us the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring, while the free parking and convenient location made traveling to and from the nearest airport hassle-free.

Nothing that I didn't like.

The room was super comfortable with thoughtful and effective decor, alongside a pristine ensuite and the added luxury of fresh milk provided. The pub offered a lovely atmosphere despite service hours cutting off food too early, which affected the evening vibe. Excellent location in the main street, but the bar could benefit from a livelier dining service to attract more guests at night.

The location was fantastic. The warm shower and tasty breakfast were the cherry on top after a long day of walking!

The staff were friendly and quick to assist with any requests. We enjoyed the area, with beautiful views of the peaks outside our window. The food in the pub was enjoyable, and breakfast was served with a smile. Plenty of nature activities were available nearby, which my family appreciated. The overall cleanliness of the rooms was commendable.

The room became uncomfortably warm at night. Noise from outside was a distraction early in the morning.

Cute vibe & comfy beds

It felt really cozy and it totally delivered. The staff were super nice and helpful during our 2 nights. Our room was super clean and had all the essentials. Those beds? So comfy! Had the best fish and chips on Saturday, probably the best I've ever had, too. Only wish the bar stayed open later!

The double room was clean and modern, and the bar below was super convenient for food and drinks. I loved the variety of options at breakfast and the friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. Plenty of parking available too!

I had a lovely time at Bulls Head, where the room was beautifully decorated with fine views. The attention to detail impressed me, and the staff's friendliness added to the charm. I found breakfast options slightly limited. A good stay!

This place is a commendable fit for a momentary pause in Castleton with great value for the money. The continental breakfast was decent but a hot option would have been better. Be mindful of noise from the main road during your stay.

Absolutely loved the free parking and good coffee selection! The decor was charmingly traditional, and breakfast in bed was a good surprise. I'd definitely return!

The stay was incredibly pleasant, highlighted by the immaculate room décor and stunning views of Mam Tor right outside the window. Breakfast was a delightful surprise, delivered to our room, paired with friendly service. The location was perfect for all our walking adventures in the area, making it easy to explore without needing the car at all.
